Their laughs!!!
I love hearing my son's laughter. As a baby, when he would get that deep belly laugh it would melt my heart. Almost 8 years later, there is no sound more wonderful to me than his laugh. I'm not talking about a case of the giggles (which he get's every time he hears the word butt, ass, or hell). I'm talking about the kind of laughter that makes your tummy ache and tears come out your eyes. The best!!!
Too many to count
My God, I’ve started this response about a million times. There are too many things to nail down one. I love tickling their feet when we’re swimming, I love looking over at them when we’re biking, I love seeing them run down the street with their buddies, I love their lemonade stand at the end of our driveway, I love kissing the tops of their heads, I love dancing in the kitchen with them, I love holding their hand when we talk into the grocery store, I love hugging them, I love that Parker has Derek’s eyes, I love hearing Paige sing, I love their messy hair in the morning, I love hearing them laugh…it’s in all the normal, redundant things. I can’t pick one.
How they smell!
I love how my boys smell. I love how they smell different at different ages. Newborn smell, so sweet and clean and pure. Toddler smell, kind of dirty and grimy, but still so delicious. The smell of my five year old. No longer a little boy smell, but so yummy in it’s own way. It drives them crazy that I smell them all the time. They always ask me to stop, but I can’t. They are like a drug, I’m addicted to the smell of them. Pure boy and all mine! The best moments are when they slow down for long enough to snuggle with me – then I can smell them to my heart’s content! AAAHHHHHHH!
